How are we coping in the market?

How are we coping in the market? An Update from January to Mid-February

The opening of the year 2009 in the real estate industry may not be as strong as the previous years, but those who are in the market to keep it going are surely positive that we will get by; and certainly reap the rewards in time.

It was good to learn that in January of this year, the local board (Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver) reports (through the Board's President W. Dave Watt) that thirty eight (38) sales  are posted a day across the Greater Vancouver board and seventy seven (77) sales a day as of mid of February.

This is an indication that the market is getting there. despite  this struggling economy we are experiencing today.

It may seem slow, but homebuyers could actually contemplate and see the potential in shopping for properties offered at a much lower price.

Apparently, the opportunity is knocking on doors of homebuyers, specifically first-time buyers. Interest rates are low; "so why not strike while the iron is hot? (goes a popular idiom)

Homebuyers should take advantage of favorable conditions available to them.

First-time buyers or other individuals who may want to consult about the best options they might have,  may inquire by email.

Some Good Thoughts on How We Could Go Green

As we are all facing the global effect of recession, here's a good article I've thought we could all reflect upon:

Let's get Green back!

Article reprinted courtesy of http://iprivilege.com/multimedia

Thursday, February 05, 2009

Everyday, we are faced with news about the financial crisis, job-losses and overall negativity and feeling of doom. Reality can sometimes be really hard to take in, but it's here. We can't run away from it and somehow, we need to find a way to clear our thoughts from this meltdown.

In times like these, we need a plan to get through the tough times. Going-green may not sound like a bright idea, but here's some of the reasons why Saving-The-Planet is also actually Saving-You-Money. Read thru:

1. Eat more veggies - they're healthier for you and costs less than buying meat. A bag of carrots or mushrooms cost less than a package of beef or chicken.

2. Walk or ride a bike/bus - or even car-pool, you get to exercise and have fun rather than sit in your car in traffic everyday.

3. Borrow movies from the library - movies and books are meant to be shared and enjoyed by everyone. When you actually have to have a copy, weigh it in from your wants and needs.

4. Turn-off and Unplug electronics when not in use - those electric suckers just take a tiny bit, but little by little it goes a long way.

5. Do your research online - a lot of times when we're buying groceries or items in the stores, we simply can be driven to "WANT TO BUY" stuff. Big companies have already done their RESEARCH on our buying habits so why won't you.

Believe in yourself that if you Plan Ahead, you'll get somewhere.

There's a lot more reasons and more great ideas that we can come up with, and if you would like to share them, please do so! Let's make Green the color of our world!

Hope and Optimism through Obama

With President Obama's recent visit to Canada, we couldn't help but feel that kind of positive spirit in us; a kind of optimism that somehow the global economy would recover fast, if not in time.

Sort of remembering the birth of new hope, I'd like to share this article on "Obama..."

Obama give us hope, obama...

Our neighbor, the U.S. of A, is in high spirits. The whole world is tuned in to this historic event, and we are filled with hope for the future.

In light of this event, I have dreams of a new world where wars can only be history.
Not a recurring nightmare that keeps families in mourning, children living in poverty and hunger, and the only group of people that "win" are the ones that invest in warfare.

Who's the biggest arms dealer? I don't know for sure; but I sure hope that we look underneath the rug after the party's over.

Peace and love to our fellow brethren, and please not just lip service.
I have my faith and hope to a better tomorrow. Obama, thank you. You give us hope!
